It has always been my
intention to offer excellent value for money with my work, and as such I offer
flexible charges depending on the type of work, length of piece, and who the
work is being done for.
In addition, the costs will depend on whether you expect to
own the outright copyright on the piece, and where you plan to use the work.
For example, an article for a print-based publication will cost more than one
intended for online use only, as would work where the client wished to own the
copyright of the piece.
For commercial print magazines, I would expect the standard
rate of pay offered for freelancers, whether this is on a per article or per
page basis. Naturally, these will fluctuate between publishers and even between
publications.
If you are looking for content for non-profit making
magazines or websites, I can offer significantly reduced rates compared with
those expected for commercial publication.
Example Prices
All of the prices here are for an article or feature of
between 1,000 and 2,000 words:
Commercial magazine - £40
Commercial website - £25
Non-profit making magazine - £25
Non-profit making website - £10
For larger pieces of work, for example product manuals,
ongoing features, series of articles etc. please get in touch to discuss these
further.
In addition to written work, I can offer a limited graphic
design service producing logos and navigation buttons for websites. For
example, I could provide a logo similar to that at the top of this site,
navigation buttons, banners and most other basic design work. The prices for
graphic design are listed below. These rates are for commercial purposes and
will be lower for non-profit making organisations or individuals:
Logo - £15
Banner - £10
Animated banner - £18
Buttons (per 20) - £25
Full site set (logo, buttons and one banner) -
£45
Prices for other work, such as web design, event
co-ordination, and other roles not featured here are to be discussed on a
job-by-job basis between myself and my client. |
