Auto Assembly joins the growing world of Podcasting!! Every so often we'll be releasing a brand new show online that will be free to download from the site for you to listen to on your PC or MP3 player and each will be packed with the latest Auto Assembly news (much of which will be exclusive to the Podcast), interviews, music (brand new tracks and music that we have licensed from a variety of bands and artists across the globe!), general Transformers chat, competitions, a serialised history of Auto Assembly starting in Show 2, phone-ins (using Skype!) and much more besides!

Files will be kept online for as long as our server bandwidth will allow and while we want to make the shows available in the best quality possible at a sample rate of 128kbps, but depending on the strain on our server we may have to offer shows at a reduced rate of 96kbps or even 64kbps to preserve our bandwidth. Full details of each of the shows can be found below and to download any of them, just right-click on the show links and use "save target as..." to save them to your PC.

Unlike other podcasts that use RSS feeds to send shows directly to subscriber's PCs and MP3 players, we are not offering a subscription based service for these shows. If you want to get each show, just keep coming back to the site and download each show as it is released. While we know this may be a little inconvenient, it helps us to preserve our bandwidth and means that you only download the shows you are interested in. If you want to know when new shows are available, we will be contacting all members of the Auto Assembly Forum (where there is a dedicated section for the podcasts) each time a show is released or you can join our mailing list by sending a blank email to us here.

If you have any comments or suggestions for the shows, please feel free to get in touch and we'll try to answer all of your comments either on the shows themselves or on the site here. You can send all the show-specific mail to us at podcast@autoassembly.org.uk or just go to the Auto Assembly Forum and join in the chat about the show there where you can talk about specific shows, vote on your favourite songs and give us your suggestions about what you'd like to hear.

- THE SHOWS -

Show 003 - 11th May 2006

This is an epic and our biggest show yet! Once again, Sven and Simon are your hosts, this time joined part way by Heather White and this time it's something pretty special... This time we have the first part of our interview with UK comic artist Simon Williams, the second part of our look back at the History of Auto Assembly, this time looking at the period from 2001-2003, plentry of general Transformers chat, another great competition sponsored by Titan Books, and more convention news including another auction update with some amazing items!

Musically we have a treat in store as well. We've been signing more musicians for the show and there will be a running theme throughout the show as most of the songs played will be tracks from albums so if you like what you hear, please support the bands and composers and buy the albums direct from their websites! Finally, the show has a special guest appearance from G1 voice actor Neil Ross who voiced Slag, Springer, Bonecrusher and various other characters!!

The music featured in today's show was "The Breed" by Bjorn Lynne (taken from the album Alien Breen 3D), "Adam West 2004 Mix" performed by Wally Wingert; "Mania" by Andrew Barnabas (taken from Bjorn Lynne's album Dreamstate), "The Hustler" by Bjorn Lynne (taken from the album Accelerator), "Operation Wolf" composed by Jonathan Dunn and arranged by Mattias Johansson and closing the show with "Through The Looking Glass" performed by Machinae Supremacy (from the album Redeemer). The voiceovers and narrations for the show were recorded by Neil Ross.

The show's approximate running time is 83 minutes and can be found here (MP3, 57.4Mb). Because of the length of the show, it has been recorded at a lower sample rate than normal - 96kbps - but it is still fairly good quality.

Show 002 - 9th April 2006

We're back with a second show and it's a big one!! Sven and Simon are your hosts again and got a bit carried away on the microphone this time bringing you an epic 56 minute show!! The planned interview with Simon Williams has been postponed until the third show but we have more than made up for it with the rest of the content....

Highlights of this show include exclusive Auto Assembly: Target 2006 news with details on the NINTH guest appearing at this year's convention and a convention exclusive being made available courtesy of Wildfur, plus the first part in our serialised "History of Auto Assembly", starting off where it all began in 1989.... Also, we have an update on Auto Assembly's charity auction with news of some more items being added. The show also has details of the winner of our competition from the first show as well a brand new competition to win the full set of RiD on DVD along with some other RiD goodies!! Finally, the show has a special guest appearance from Auto Assembly 2004's guest of honour, Wally Wingert!

The music featured in today's show was "Ocean Loader 6" by Jonathan Dunn, "I Stand In Line" performed by RiD's Wally Wingert; "Petrol Bomb" by DJ Topshelf, "Cryosleep" performed by Machinae Supremacy; and finally continuing with our C64 remixes is "Beyond The Zero" composed by Markus Schneider and arranged by Mattias Johansson. The voiceovers and narrations for the show were recorded by Wally Wingert.

Other things mentioned in the show included exhibitors at this year's convention - Transmasters UK, Beast Wars International, Transformers @ The Moon.

The show's approximate running time is 56 minutes and can be found here (MP3, 50.7Mb) or for those of you with slower internet connections (or not enough patience!), you can download a lower quality version here(MP3, 64kbps sample rate, 25.3Mb)

Show 001 - 18th March 2006

This is the first ever show and was presented by Auto Assembly founder Sven Harvey and Simon Plumbe. As well as general news and updates on Auto Assembly: Target 2006, amongst other things the show featured full details on all of the guests lined up to attend this year's convention and the dealers currently booked up. Also, we have details of all of the items in this year's charity auction along with more on the charity itself.

The show also has details of our first exlusive competition, which is to win a signed copy of the TransformersCon 2004 Convention Exclusive comic signed by Don Figueroa, chat about Transformers knock-offs, news on developments from Auto Assembly sponsors TF Auctions and much more...

The music featured in this show was "Anthem Apocalyptica" performed by Machinae Supremacy; "Obi Wan Kenobi" performed by RiD's Wally Wingert; "Stain" by Megaphone; and from the Commodore 64 game music remix community, "Ocean Loader 4.5 (Feel The Beat)" composed by Jonathan Dunn and arranged by Mattias Johansson.
