While the programme is still vague right now, we wanted to give you details of as many of the activities you can expect to see over the weekend at Auto Assembly 2011 before we schedule them into the weekend. While this isn't an exhaustive list (we hope to add more as we get closer to the convention) we hope that this will give you a taster of some of the great ideas we have planned to give you a packed weekend of entertainment! There will be a lot of old favourites returning and plenty of new things being added as well...

The programme will be split over FOUR main function areas for the weekend - the Main Hall which will feature our theatre area hosting the guest talks, charity auction, Saturday evening programme and other major events, most of our dealers, guest signings and our registration desk. Adjacent to this will be it's Foyer which will contain the Video Games Area, additional dealers and displays and... most importantly... the convention bar! Both of these combined rooms make up the hotel's Albany Suite and this can be found on the second floor. One the first floor will be the Arden Suite which will play host to our Alternative Programme Room and outside of this is a lounge area where additional activities will be taking place - primarily forum and other organised meets!

Please remember that the Friday Evening and Saturday Evening programmes are EXCLUSIVE for weekend attendees only! Unless otherwise stated, all of the items featured below will be running for the duration of Auto Assembly 2011 in different areas of the event hall!

Live Script Reading!!

Once again, our voice actors will be taking to the stage on Saturday night to read a specially-written script LIVE! Joining them will be a few lucky attendees who will get a rare opportunity to perform alongside some Transformers legends! See the two voices of Grimlock face off against each other in our third annual script reading and this one is going to be an absolute blast!!

Karaoke / Karaoke

Want to see if you could be Auto Assembly's own X-Factor winner? Think you've got a great singing voice or are you the sort of person who doesn't care after you have had a drink or two? Well grab a mic and take to the stage!! Whether you want to belt out some rock classics or some ballads, there will be something for you! We're sure that we will be able to persuade some of our guests to join in again so it will be another great event.

Dedicated Childrens Programme

After the success last year, we're continuing our support for our younger attendees to keep them entertained during the programme items running that they were less likely to be interested in (and to give their parents a much-needed break!). We will have a few hours each day set aside in the Alternative Programme Room for a dedicated children's programme which will feature games, competitions, competitions, workshops, the colouring competition (in a more structured form), face painting and more. All of this will be overseen by state registered, CRB-checked childcare workers and will also have our own convention staff on-hand as well at all times. As with all the other convention activities and events, there is NO additional charge for this!

Children's Goodie Bag New!

For the first time ever, we will providing our younger attendees with a bonus bag of goodies for attending the convention! This will be a pack of gifts aimed specifically at our younger attendees and can be collected from the Control Desk at any time during the weekend. In there will be a selection of Activity Sheets, entry sheets for both of this year's colouring competitions, a pack of colouring pencils and hopefully a few more surprise items!

Game Zone

Love Transformers video games? Well our video games area is going to grow again following it's revamp last year! Last year we showcased 25 years of Transformers video games and we had most of the classic and contemporary games playable as possible throughout the weekend, from the very first game released for the Commodore 64 back in 1985 right up to War For Cybertron on the Playstation 3. This year, we'll have even more games running making this the largest collection of playable Transformers video games ever seen at a Transformers convention!

Charity Raffle

We will be having one of our usual charity raffles, but this time we will be having a large number of draws taking place throughout the weekend so make sure you keep your tickets safe and the more tickets you buy and the earlier you get them, the more draws you'll be entered into!

Charity Auction

Another massive Charity Auction and this time expect something pretty amazing... we will have loads of comic artwork and autographs from all Transformers eras in two auctions taking place over the weekend hosted by David Kaye and Gregg Berger!

Competitions

As always, we will be running our usual writing, art and kitbash competitions, a costume competition if anyone feels brave enough, as well as quizzes and possibly some other games and competitions.

Cosplay Parade

A hit last year, we'll have another Costume Competition with a parade / "fashion show" taking place on the Saturday evening, showing off all of the best entries on the Cybertronian Catwalk! Some of our guests will be judging all the entries so they had better be on their best behaviour!!

Colouring Competition

Back againfor our younger attendees! There will be a separate competition taking place each day, running in the Alternative Programme Room as part of the Children's Programme.

Dealers

We will have a range of dealers attending from all over the UK selling pretty much every type of Transformers merchandise you can think of including several new dealers to Auto Assembly and again, most of the regular dealers from past Auto Assembly events. Hopefully you will find a varied mix of quality dealers offering something for everyone!

Fan Area

Following on from the success of this last year, we will again be having area set aside for various Transformers fan clubs, organisations and websites where they will be promoting their activities, selling fanzines and much more! Already confirmed for this will be Transformers @ The Moon who will be showcasing some of their collection of incredibly rare Transformers and Transmasters UK who will be producing another exclusive fanzine for the convention.

Guests

All of our guests will be around to meet and talk with fans in a dedicated guest area, and we will be getting as many of them on stage as possible for talks and Q&A sessions as possible as well. Our list of confirmed guests is growing daily so rather than list them here, the best thing to do is check out our guests page here.

Videos

There will be a continuous video programme running during the day between talks and other main programme items, with a selection of episodes from most Transformers shows, all shown on a large ten-foot screen! If you have any specific requests, let us know!

Artist Sketches

Want some original artwork? Have the chance to get something drawn just for you by some of the top comic artists in the business! There will be small charge for these which will vary from artist to artist.

Workshops

We're going to be running more workshops again... we'll keep you posted on what they will be this year!

Children's Art Workshop

See the proefssionals at work showing you how to draw your favourite Transformers! Kat Nicholson will once again be teaching our younger fans how to draw their favourite characters from start to finish...

Rare Toy Display

A traditional feature of Auto Assembly for several years has been the display of rare toys from the guys at Transformers At The Moon. We're still working on the theme for this year's display but we know that it will be something pretty special...
