You can now book your tickets online for Auto Assembly 2010!! It is set to be the biggest ever Transformers convention held in Europe and will be taking place over the weekend of Friday 13th - Sunday 15th August 2010 in the Holiday Inn Birmingham City Centre, Birmingham, England. At the moment, we are only accepting bookings online but we will be opening postal bookings in the near future.

We have FROZEN ticket prices from Auto Assembly 2009 and tickets for the convention are £45 for adults for the weekend, £35 for children, students and senior citizens, and under 5s are free. Single day tickets are not available at the moment - these may be released for sale in early 2010 but these will be limited as we expect most people to book for the full weekend. Please note that apart from your food, drink, hotel accommodation and spending money, the ticket price covers the cost of admission to all of the activities and events taking place at the convention.

To book, just choose the type of ticket that you require, enter your name and date of birth details and then add it to your shopping cart (this will open up in a new window). Please add each person to your cart separately as we need to know the names and dates of birth for each attendee so we can prepare passes for them properly. Once you have booked all of your tickets and ordered any additional items that you may want, go to the checkout to pay!

Already paid your deposit for Auto Assembly 2010 when you attended Auto Assembly 2009? Then email us and we will sort out how you can pay the balance outstanding on your tickets!

Please note that when you check out, 5% will be added at the end for PayPal handling charges as we get charged this to accept payments by PayPal and rather than increasing ticket prices for everyone to cover this cost, we have no choice but to add this surcharge. As PayPal does not have a system to add a surcharge option, it will show up on your shopping cart as "postage and packing".

WHAT HAPPENS ONCE YOU HAVE BOOKED?

We're sure that once you've made your booking - online or by post - you want to know what happens next! Well, if you don't know, Auto Assembly 2010 is run on a non-profit making basis by Infinite Frontiers, a science fiction fan organisation founded by Simon Plumbe in 1989. Auto Assembly is organised by a small team in our spare time (see elsewhere on this site for more information about us) so as you can understand, this means that our time can be stretched with running the convention, work and family life. For the bookings side of things are processed by committee head Simon Plumbe and his wife Trish.

Anyway, back to the bookings and once your booking comes in it's allocated a ticket number (to ensure that we don't overflow with attendees!). Within a few days, you'll be sent an email confirming your ticket numbers, the names of everyone you have booked for and this email will also have the hotel details and how you can book rooms at the discount rate we have negotiated... along with an extra special surprise or two! We have set up a special website for ALL pre-registrants where you will be able to download a selection of FREE fanzines, and lots of other goodies including software as a special thankyou from us for pre-booking and you will get details of where to find this site with your email confirmation. After then, we may send out a few other progress report emails but the "proper" receipt you will get from us won't arrive until close to the convention.

This mailing usually goes out about 6 weeks before the convention takes place and contain a confirmation sheet that you need to present on the day to get your packs/passes/programmes, an information pack with all the important information you need for the convention, competition entry forms, volunteering forms, and booking forms for you to pass on to your friends and anything else that you may need for the weekend but if none of that arrives, a print out of the email that you receive will be enough to get you in on the weekend.

Hope that clarifies everything!

REFUNDS

We have had people ask if they have already booked but then can't make it whether they can then get a refund.

To be honest, the answer to this is no. If you book concert tickets and subsequently can't attend, you wouldn't expect to be able to get your money back on that. We will be only too happy to help transfer your tickets to a friend, although we'd need to update our records on this and have the original receipts returned to be destroyed and replaced and there may be an administrative charge if we have already printed the physical tickets to cover the cost of producing new ones.
