Auto Assembly: Target 2006

Okay, we're now less than two months away but we've got an impressive guest line-up, probably the biggest ever for Auto Assembly with guests from three continents! We have no less than NINE confirmed guests and we are still in talks with more...! As always, all of our guests are appearing subject to work and personal commitments.

DAVID KAYE

Our guest of honour for Auto Assembly: Target 2006 is none other that David Kaye, the voice of Megatron for the last ten years!! David has provided the voice of Megatron in Beast Wars, Beast Machines, Armada, Energon and now Cybertron as well as voicing countless characters in other top animated shows including the voice of Professor X in X-Men Evolution. This is David's first Transformers convention appearance in the UK and we hope you'll make him feel welcome.

Simon Furman

Making his fourth appearance at Auto Assembly, Simon is know to Transformers fans everywhere as one of the best Transformers writers in the business. Simon has been writing for the Transformers comics since the G1 Marvel days and has recently written the Transformers: The Ultimate Guide for Dorling Kindersley and on various Transformers titles for Dreamwave and is now working on the new titles coming from IDW. He has worked on numerous other titles, has written for animated TV shows, wrote the final episode of Beast Wars and worked on the British Transformers: Armada comic. He has also worked on the online comic, The Engine, in collaboration with Andrew Wildman as part of their production company, Wildfur.

Andrew Wildman

Andrew is an established comic illustrator and worked on the original G1 series for Marvel with Simon and countless other comics. He spent some time working at games software company Rebellion, and most recently illustrated a number of Transformers titles for Dreamwave as well as several projects for Wildfur. He has also illustrated the UK Transformers: Armada comic as well as working on The Engine project and also did the artwork for one of the Auto Assembly 2004 postcards.

Guido Guidi

Making his first Auto Assembly appearance (and his first UK convention appearance) is comic artist Guido Guidi. Guido has worked for Dreamwave, 3H Productions and now IDW providing stunning cover and interior artwork for their titles as well as producing box artwork for a number of toys from the Armada, Energon, and Alternator ranges for Hasbro. Guido is appearing at Auto Assembly courtesy of sponsors TF Auctions.

Lee Sullivan

Lee is an established freelance comic artist, and has worked on countless issues of the G1 comic, as well as some work on the UK Armada title for Panini along with illustrating the bonus comic given away with the limited edition version of the Transformers game from Atari for the Playstation 2. In addition to his many credits, he was the artist responsible for the Tek War comic series and trading cards, and has worked on Doctor Who - both in comic form and online. Some of his most recent Transformers work has involved the Season Two Volume One DVD box set for G1.

Lee also provided the artwork for the 2004 Auto Assembly magazine and exclusive postcards and the 2003 exclusive postcard set and is providing the cover for this year's magazine as well.

Geoff Senior

Geoff is one of the most well-respected of all of the artists to have worked on the G1 comics for Marvel including the Target: 2006 epic and he will be making his second appearance at Auto Assembly!

Simon Williams

Returning once again is comic artist Simon Williams. Simon has worked on the UK Transformers: Armada comic for Panini and has recently been illustrating their successful UK Spiderman title (in which Wally Wingert made a hidden guest appearance in issues 102 and 110...!) and has recently done the stunning cover for the 2005 Hulk Annual also from Panini. In addition, Simon created the covers for the Season 3/4 and Season 1 G1 box sets for Metrodome and the cover for last year's Auto Assembly magazine and exclusive postcard.

Jason Cardy

Comic colourist Jason Cardy is returning again for the second year running. Jason, who turned professional last year, worked on the latter issues of the UK Armada comic alongside Simon Williams and is now working on the UK Spiderman comic amongst other titles for Panini. He also worked with Simon in creating the covers for the Season 3/4 and Season 1 box sets for Metrodome.

Mike Collins

We can now officially confirm that our ninth guest is artist and writer Mike Collins. Mike has worked for Marvel primarily as an artist but writing stories on their G1 titles. He also worked on some of the G1 storybooks for Ladybird as well. This is Mike's debut at Auto Assembly.
