Auto Assembly 2004 Activities / Programme of Activities
Updated 1st May 2004
Here we'll be keeping you updated on all of the activities taking place at Auto Assembly, along with provisional details of the venue arrangements and running order for the weekend. Feel free to email us if you have any questions.
Programme Of Events
The event will be split into two days, with several sessions in each. While we know that this might complicate things, we hope it should make sense after a while. All of the activities listed will be in the Theatre unless specified or are general activities. We know this programme is pretty detailed but we wanted to give you a really good idea of what to expect during the weekend. If there are no programme items specified, then it will probably be filled with episodes. This programme is subject to change, but it is as accurate as possible. A full programme with details of episodes being shown will be in your packs available on your arrival at the convention.
During all set-up times, there will be background music/videos for dealers, volunteers and staff. To download a Word version of the FULL programme that will be included in everyone's packs, click here. If you have problems with the download, right click on the link and select "save target as..." to save the file to your PC.

Activities
Charity Programme
We will be running a series of events during the weekend raising money for our two nominated charities - the NSPCC and Cancer Research. One of these will be a raffle with all the proceeds going to our charities. We do have other charity activities planned, but we'll announce these later...
Charity Auction
Loads of Transformers voice actor autographs, signed scripts and loads of other goodies are going to be auctioned off for our two charities. There will be something here for all fans! See the full listing elsewhere on the site!
Competitions
We will be running four competitions over the weekend. First will be a writing competition, with the best entries appearing in Issue 6 of The Cybertronian Times, as well as on this website. Second is the art competition, with work again appearing in the zine and online. Finally will be the kitbash competition with entries exhibited on the day. For the art and writing competitions, these entries need to be with us a month before the event to allow us to include the entries in the zine.
Also, there will be a quiz, the sheets for these being included in your welcome packs. There may also be another quiz or two taking place during the weekend as well as a couple of rather special tournaments...
Computer / Console Games
We'll have a range of systems running all weekend offering loads of different Transformers games ranging from the original games on the Commodore 64 from the early 80s up to the latest releases including the new game from Atari who will be with us!
Dealers
We will have a range of dealers attending from all over the UK selling pretty much every type of Transformers merchandise you can think of. From cheap £1 toys to £200+ collectors items, you'll find something here to interest you! We have more dealers than we had in 2003 with many who are new to Auto Assembly including some fan dealers present - those who are trading in Transformers on a small scale, usually as a hobby. You might find a few hard-to-find loose toys with these!
Displays
We will have our usual toy display with a massive array of Transformers toys and merchandise on show from the last 20 years. There will also be art and kitbash displays showing all the competition entries.
Forum Meet
This will be on Saturday after the main programme ends. If you're a member of any Transformers forum, or our own forum, then come along to the bar and meet up with everyone else!
Guests
We have five guests joining us for the weekend. Our guest of honour will be Wally Wingert who is the voice of Side Burn and Mirage in Transformers: Robots In Disguise. From the world of Transformers comics, we will be joined by Simon Furman, Lee Sullivan and Andrew Wildman, who are known to Transformers fans everywhere through their work on the G1 and Armada comics. Also we will be joined again by Jane Lawson and Joanna Moher from Metrodome who will be here talking about their latest Transformers DVD releases.
Videos
There will be a continuous video programme running over the weekend, with a selection of episodes from most Transformers shows, all shown on a large six-foot screen! If you have any specific requests, let us know!
