To help fund our work with this site and ensure that we always have enough storage space for all our files and enough bandwidth to allow everyone to download anything they want, we are now going to be taking paid advertising on the site. It's not our intention to make vast amounts of money - just enough to cover our running costs, so we have put together a series of packages to suit all needs and budgets. All of the details below come into force from 1st August 2003.
About This Website
Infinite Frontiers was formed in 1989 as a sci-fi fan club. Since then, we have grown to include fanzine publishing, disk magazine production and other freeware titles on the Amiga, working on commercial Amiga products, running our extensive website, and running several events, conventions, and fan clubs including sci-fi and sports clubs. The team all contribute on a voluntary basis and include many top writers, artists, and musicians, many of whom are professionals in their chosen fields.
We are also responsible for running a series of annual UK events for Transformers fans, Auto Assembly, the next of which is scheduled to take place on Saturday 2nd August 2003 in Birmingham, UK. For more details on this, visit the official Auto Assembly website at www.autoassembly.org.uk
Our website, Infinite Frontiers Online was launched in June 2002 to compliment our existing work areas and to replace our old website. Since it's launch, we have 18 main sections of content ranging from gaming to sci-fi, wrestling to disability issues, music and much more. At present, there is well over 750Mb of files, articles, videos, downloads, music, artwork, games, and an interactive visitor forum and the site itself spans over 1,500 files! To date, this site has received over 210,000 visitors since its launch.
Our Downloads Service has been incredibly popular since it's launch earlier this year. We are offering over 200 games and applications to our visitors for free downloading, which we have secured permission to include these titles on our site. Unlike "abandonware" websites, everything on Infinite Frontiers Online is included with the backing of the authors and/or publishers and as such, the downloads are completely legal. At the moment, a large number of companies are supporting our work to-date and we now have products from 15 different publishers, spanning 200 games on 14 different computer formats including a massive collection of 8-bit "retro" titles.
Many people remember these old classics from their youth, and we wanted to bring these back to a new audience without the need to resort to piracy. All of these were deleted years ago or made freely available, and they have now become rare items to source the originals. For many people, they are left with little choice but to scour auction sites online to find these classics, and even then there is no guarantee that they can find what they are looking for.
Recently, we have been receiving a large number hits, primarily people visiting our downloads section, and this has seen as many as 20,000 people visiting the site within a 24 hour period. As you can imagine, this offers superb advertising potential at a very affordable price.
What We Offer
For all advertising on the site, it will be in the form of standard-sized banner advertising of 468x60 pixels in size. The banners can be static or animated - it's entirely up to you, and we will set up a link to your site from the banner linking to anywhere on your own website. We can store all of the adverts locally on our server, and for static images, they can be in gif or jpg formats. Alternatively, we can link to your website to use a banner image from there. An example of the type of banner advertising we can offer is at the foot of this page.
Following our ongoing programme of publicity for the website, we are now receiving thousands of hits to the site EVERY DAY consistently. We feel that considering this audience, our advertising rates are very affordable, and offer a great deal of flexibility for all of our advertisers.
To reflect the changes in the way the site is being structured at the moment, and the sheer number of pages we now have online, we are re-working our advertising system, and this will take place effective from 1st August 2003. The idea is for advertising on the website to be more cost effective for our advertisers, while providing us with more flexibility in generating revenue in order to keep the website online.
Advert Locations
We can offer banner advertising on any page on the main Infinite Frontiers site or any of our sister sites such as Auto Assembly. You can choose to advertise on our main index page, any sub-menu, or even right down to the individual article level - it's completely up to you, although our emphasis is on a page-by-page basis. Also, if you wish, you can have your advert repeated on several pages and menus and each advert can be tailored to suit each page.
One thing we will stress however, is that we prefer to keep advertising relevant to the content of the pages that they are on, with the exception of the main menu. For example, if an advertiser works in the field of Computing, it doesn't make any sense to us, our visitors or the advertiser to have their adverts place in the Wrestling section!
Section Sponsorship
We are also looking for advertisers who are interested in sponsoring entire sections of the website, such as our incredibly popular Downloads area. Here, rather than booking adverts for a single page or menu, a fixed monthly payment will get your advert (or series of adverts) on every single sub-menu and article in a particular section. We are offering incredible discounts on monthly sponsorship packages, with bonuses awarded for longer advertising deals.
The prices for each section are dependent on the amount of content, the section's popularity, and the prospects of the section expanding. As an area of the site expands, your adverts will be added to each new part of your sponsored area automatically and your company will be officially recognised on the site as being one of our sponsors and you will be mentioned in all our site publicity.
As an added bonus you will be given exclusive advertising rights for that particular section. Obviously, as we only have a limited number of sections on the site, these are going to be offered on a limited basis.
Prices
The prices for the adverts start at an astonishly low price of just £1 per month for a banner advert! How can we offer adveritising at such a low price? Quite simply, rather than offering advertising across large sections or areas on the site, each advert is on a page by page basis and as a result, we have a large number of pages available and these can be offered at dramatically reduced rates. This way, you can advertise as much or as little as you like, and you can target your adverts more effectively to reach your customers.
There are four basic charges for adverts on the website, and each price is for one advert for one calendar month...
The above rates are per month, and there is no upper limit on the number of adverts you take out. Throughout the sponsored pages, we will actively encourage our site visitors to click on your banner, and in the case of the downloads pages, we can offer a limited amount of direct linking so when someone clicks to download a file from the site, they will automatically be directed to your website as well.
As we have stated, there is no limit to the number of pages you can sponsor, and you will be able to choose exactly which pages and menus your adverts will appear on from a choice of well over 500. There is a minimum purchase (to help cover our admin costs) of £2 for private individuals or non-profit making websites, and £5 for commercial organsations, which we feel represents exceptional value for money.
You can take advertising out for a one month period or longer if you wish, and you can change the pages you sponsor from one month to the next. Every page on the site will be available to sponsor, and this will ensure that we will be able to offer our downloads service and the site in general to our visitors indefinitely.
The adverts will stay online for a period of one calendar month, and adverts can be started at any time.

All of the prices detailed below are for full advertising on every page in the section listed and are valid for one calendar month. With these rates, it offers far more advertising for your money and links your company to a complete area of the site.

How Can I Sign Up?
First, explore the website at www.infinitefrontiers.org. From there, make a note of all of the pages that you are interested in sponsoring anywhere on the Infinite Frontiers site. Don't worry when you see that there are already adverts on these pages - many of these will be from our affiliate schemes that will be removed once a sponsor signs up, and others may have a limited amount of time left on the advertising deal, so they could be available soon.
Most of the adverts currently on the pages in the Downloads Section are from a sponsorship deal which closes at the end of July and as such, all of the pages there will be available for sponsorship. While many of the games for downloading that are listed in the section do not yet have their own pages, this will change by the end of July and most, if not all titles, will have their own pages on the website.
Once you have your list of desired pages, just email us at sponsorship@infinitefrontiers.org with your list, brief information about yourselves (whether you are a private individual or company), and we'll get back to you to let you know which pages are available and how much it will cost.
We will hold all of the requested pages on your list that are available for a period of seven days and if we receive confirmation and payment within that time, your adverts will appear online. To pay for the adverts, our preferred method is via PayPal, and we will forward payment details to you once the adverts have been confirmed.
It is easier for us if your banners are hosted on your own servers, and please feel free to submit the exact url where you want the link to direct to. Also, again feel free to include any alternative text with the banner image. If you want us to host the banner for you, we can do this free for private individuals or non-profit making bodies, or £1 a month for all other advertisers for unlimited banner storage.
Payment
We can take payments by cheque/postal order (payable to Infinite Frontiers), cash (at your own risk), or by credit card using PayPal (using account name "InfiniteFrontier@aol.com"). Whatever the easiest option is for you, we are sure we can come to an arrangement that will be best for everyone. Please note that payments for adverts should be made at the time of booking once your adverts have been confirmed.
We can send invoices via PayPal to a valid email address for advertising so your ads can go online faster, but if these invoices are not paid within 7 days, the adverts will be removed immediately.
Additional Services
For a small additional cost, we can design banner images for you if you do not have one designed already. Prices for these will start at as little as £5 for a static image and £10 for an animated banner.
Booking
Once you've confirmed what pages you want to sponsor, and what we have available, send us an email to sponsorship@infinitefrontiers.org to finalise your booking with any information as needed, along with banner images if appropriate. Once we've received payment, your advert will go online.
