About This Web Site
Updated: 12th October 2004
You've managed to stumble across the home page for Infinite Frontiers, an organisation devoted to sci-fi fandom, computing and much more! On this site, you'll find areas devoted to everything we cover including our annual Transformers event, Auto Assembly, Star Trek, games reviews, plenty of free downloads, articles, reviews, features, music, videos, and lots more. We are constantly updating the site every few days so the chances are, each new visit you make to the site will reveal something new...
As well as areas for our group's activities, there will be areas created by members of our team covering their personal interests. We hope that makes this site a little different and gives you something enjoyable to read. One of the more obvious areas for this is our section dedicated to disability issues, which is something that is very personal to both myself and my fiancée, Cher, as is Cher's Sports section that will be coming to the site shortly.
There will be a small amount of material from our extensive archives dating back 14 years with interviews, reviews, articles, and artwork (although we're sure most of you won't have seen them before!), but the majority of the content will be brand new. With the reviews, it isn't our intention to be up to date with the latest reviews - just to offer a mix we hope you find interesting to read!
We want this site to have as much of your input as possible and we'd love to see your articles, artwork, and photos too - if there's anything you want to send us, please feel free!! We can't pay anyone for their work at the moment, but a lot of contributors who have worked with us in the past have gone on to have successful careers as writers, artists, and musicians.
The one thing we are most proud of about this site is our "three clicks" system. We have tried to structure the menus in such a way that if you start from the main front page, you can get to any article, download, video, game, review or anything else on the site in three mouse clicks or less. We hope that this policy, in conjunction with our fast loading menus, will make this site easy and quick to navigate.
Anyway, we hope you enjoy the site, and please feel free to get in touch if you want to be involved, have any comments or suggestions, or just to let us know if there's anything you'd like to see here.
Peace,
Simon Plumbe
